… my iPod Touch is going to be replaced because the headphone jack is spoilt. My warranty ends in September, proving once again that ANY electronics in my hands would inevitably self-destruct before their warranties are up.

I just got started on this graphic novel. It’s graphic, alright. And edgy. I like it so far!

Ok I think we can all learn a lesson from this. See that face up there? If you want to have chiseled good looks, a piercing stare and a nose that can poke an eye out when you decide to eskimo blind kiss someone (you don’t like), you need to have a fancy schmancy name.

Like Wentworth Earl Miller.

Because we shouldn’t all stick to commoner names. Why? Ask this particular Scott Thompson who actually has a rather chiseled facial structure too but it somehow goes not quite as well.

I watched Iron Man 2 last week. It was an ok movie but I can’t for the life of me remember what it’s about now. It can’t be that far off right?

While attending Japanese class, I passed by the cinema which had the following poster.

It made me smile because I thought my haircuts were bad. Thanks, Robert Pattinson, for making my day again and again!

Have you ever received emails which you can’t quite read because you forgot your glasses for the day? But being responsible, you’d want to do your job and reply to it all the same? I sent this email today:

I’m interested in this – Horseman Digital 77mm Circular Polarizer MC Filter and would like to find out a bit more information about it since I’ll be asking a friend to get it for me and can’t test it out for myself.
I want to use it with an ultra wide 10-20mm Sigma lens and was wondering if the filter will be slim enough to go on without obstructing the edges.

I’ve never considered it but Jillian is kind of a nice name.

My cousin is 9. I brought home Halo 3 but haven’t the time to start a game. He’s got plenty of time. Now I can’t start a new campaign because it’d erase his progress and I don’t want to be an ass like that.

So I play LEGO Indy 2.

WHY AM I STUCK PLAYING THE KIDDIE GAME WHILE THE KID PLAYS THE GROWN UP GAME???

I had intended to put down a flood of thoughts about change. Not for the first time though, I don’t really know how. I appreciate the melancholy poets must feel when inspired to pen works of brilliance. Alas, I lack the talent but not the melancholy.

The irony of the post title.

While at the hairdresser’s, I picked up a magazine which had an article on the phenomenon termed as the Quarter-Life Crisis. It’s a state of mind that afflicts people in their twenties and is as its name suggests quite similar to the mid-life crisis. In the article, some young girls from 23 to 25, supposedly recovered sufferers, were interviewed. One talked about having gone through the ‘crisis’ after graduating from school and sinking into depression when she couldn’t find a job. She ‘recovered’ from the ‘crisis’ after landing a job. The other stories were in the same vein, talking about how they felt depressed and directionless after losing their jobs from the economic crisis.

These aren’t examples of quarter-life crisis; these are upsetting realities of life that you live through and will live through through the rest of your life. A quarter-life crisis has to involve the realisation that there’s more to life than a job; it has to involve a dilemma where you are uncertain of the paths to take in life and its consequences. It has to involve the realisation that beyond your twenties, you will be too old to pursue certain ideals that you have grown up believing in. It has to involve the realisation that in your twenties, you are already too old to pursue certain ideals you have grown up believing in.
